The argyle pink diamonds is one of the world’s most sought after diamonds in the world, mined in the stunning yet remote landscapes of Kimberley in Western Australia. The argyle diamond mine produces 90% of the world’s pink diamonds supply, producing less than 1% making it one of the rarest diamonds at the highest quality.
The value of Pink Diamonds have increased by 20% every year over the last decade, this is due to the demands far exceeding the supply, therefore it sells for a much higher price, sometimes 50 or 100 times more than traditional white diamonds As the demand increases, the supply is reducing. Another reason is the scarcity of pink diamonds, Argyle has now moved the mining operation from overground to underground as the source of pink diamonds is decreasing, particularly the higher graded diamonds.
