mariposaTayha Designs was delighted to provide the jewellery for Mariposa Perfumery fragrance event last week. The party is in celebration of divine scents from luxury fragrance houses, namely the iconic brands House of Creed and Amouage.

Revolution the Label is a Perth based IMGP1849Australian label catering for men and women, concentrating on simplicity and minimalist shapes. Catina 663 and Luxe Bar in Beaufort Street provided the food and drinks throughout the evening. And finally, lifestyle, homeware and fashion boutique Lulu & I completed the evening.

The models were draped with our South Sea pearls and bespoke collection including exquisite earrings, rings and necklaces. They were styled by Taryn, Natalia, Erin and Hannah of Tayha Designs.

Visit Mariposa and try on the newest scent of Cedre Blanc, a woody aromatic scent for women, Notes of Bergamot for men and the intoxicating Iris Tuberose. Meet the very sweet and charming Allison who won our design prize package aallisont UWA’s most recent annual GMA black tie dinner.

We were honoured to be invited to attend the fabulous event as a new sponsor.

Our prize package, valued at $1200, included a whopper sized (12mm) beautiful Tahitian South Sea pearl and also a sit down with one of our designers to discuss how Allison would want to wear her new pearl and of course the make itself.

Allison decided on a rounded sterling silver bangle and because they’re her favourite we added natural emeralds to her bangle to enhance the pearls blue green colour.

pearl bangleThis is the beautiful result. We’re pleased as punch at how it looks and Allison loves it so much she wants even more made!

Stay tuned for more bangles made but using lava rock and other semiprecious gemstones!

EarringsToday is the Beaufort Street Festival, the weather is beautiful and street is ready. We have food vendors all down the street and live music at every turn. In the Past it has been ridiculously hot so it is nice to get a festival day in the mid 20’s. Our Arcade stays pretty quiet as more festival goes are here for the music and food so the Astor Arcade is the perfect stop to take a breather and do a little retail therapy.
