Nowadays we are seeing brides daringly opting for wedding dresses other than the traditional white gowns. I’m not talking about ivory, cream, beige, eggshell, vanilla, off white, diamond white, silk white or whatever variation of white the colour naming experts can conjure up with, here I am admiring the shade of pink! You might secretly cringe at the thought of bubblegum pink for your once in a lifetime wedding, the type of pink normally associated with playing dress up when you were younger and all girls under the age of 5 only favourite colour before they discovered there are other shades less embarrassing to vouch for. I’m visualising a more romantic and calmer tones such as blush, peachy pink, rosy pink, coral, petal, pale pink and dusty rose.
Celebrities who have worn these romantic alternatives at their weddings are Gwen Stefani, Reese Witherspoon, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Biel and more recently, Kaley Cuoco. Wearing pink does not mean brides have to scarifice a traditional bridal theme, these softer shades exudes a couture vibe, rustic romance and a sophisticated modern fairytale.
